Where You Sit DOES Make a Difference

When you are booking a business trip, there are a lot of important decisions to be made. Obviously, the important issue is your business objectives and that everything you need so the business you will do when you arrive comes off well. So you will spend the majority of your efforts on those preparations or so you are well equipped for the trip.

But to use the old phrase, it’s the little things that mean a lot especially when you are enduring the inconvenience of business travel. You put up with a lot of inconvenience and having to accommodate the needs of others in airports where everybody wants to be comfortable. Little things mean a lot on a long business flight from how well you eat to the kind of car you rent on the other end. Just a small surprise or accommodation along the way can set put you in a good mood on the trip and that mood could even influence the outcome of the meetings you will conduct when you make your business contacts at your destination.

Some people do not have a preference where they sit during the plane flight. But there are a number of issues that can become significant during those hours where you are essentially immobile as you fly cross-country. Some of those are.

* If you are claustrophobic, having a window seat isn’t about sight seeing. It can be a sanity saving necessity to keep you from focusing on the enclosed airplane space.

* If you wish to work, you need some space to spread out.

* Some medical needs might require easy access to the privacy of the laboratory, if for no other reason than to take medicine without being observed.

* If you have close connections and are on a tight deadline, sitting near the front of the plane helps with getting off quickly.

To get some control over the variable of where you are sit en route to or from your business trip, put some thought into the issue up front and see if you can reserve the seat that suits your purposes before you ever get to the airport. If you use online reservations, you can get a map of the plane, which will show you which seats are open. This gives you excellent ability to move your seat so you can sit just where you want before you go to the airport.

Some factors to take into consideration are the room you need and whether you need to recline your seat or not. The seats on the exit row are almost always more roomy. In exchange for being willing to open the door in an emergency, you can gain twice as much room as you might have had which pays off when you want to work during the flight.

The last row of the airplane does not recline. The upside of that row is that you don’t have anyone behind you to kick your seat back or bounce the tray table as they do whatever it is they are doing back there. By the same token, the first set in the section does not have seats in front of it so it can be roomier. But you may not have a tray table to use to set your laptop on for work. These are trade offs worth thinking through in advance.

You can have your travel agent know your preferences when they book your flight. But don’t miss the chance to make changes as late as the day of the flight. You might spot a row that is not full and be able to grab a seat and have the row to yourself. And that, in airline travel economies, is pure gold.

Where Can Bullying Occur?

Bullying can occur in many different places, although most people think it happens only at school and between children. Bullying can happen between adults as well and between children in other places besides school. Knowing where bullying can occur is a good way to help prevent it. No matter if you have a child or are experiencing bullying yourself, you should be aware of the places it can occur.

Bullying can occur at school, and this is the most common place. Children will bully each other for many different reasons including insecurity and even if they are popular. Schools usually take bullying seriously but it can be hard to tell if children are being bullied because they are often reluctant to talk about it. Physical bullying is common among young boys and young girls tend to say mean things and spread rumors to bully others. Bullying in school has been a problem for a long time and can have serious consequences of not dealt with promptly and appropriately.

Bullying can occur in other places where children interact. The school bus and around the neighborhood where children play are common sites of bullying. Children will use any opportunity they can to bully others and these places offer the greatest chances of being able to interact. Bullying can also occur at home with siblings bullying each other. Bullies like to act out in private so places where kids can be alone are the biggest places bullying can occur.

Children are not the only ones who bully each other. Adults can be bullies too and bullying can occur in the workplace. Adults will treat co workers poorly in a variety of ways to lessen their value and sabotage their work. Adults will constantly criticize their victims even if it is unwarranted, belittle their accomplishments, and file false grievances and accusations. Adults sometimes bully because they perceive another person as a threat to their job and want to make them look bad instead of improving their own work. Adults can also bully others simply because they don't like them or because others do so.

The computer and mobile devices have opened a completely new way for bullies to torment others. Bullying can occur online through emails, IM's, on websites, and through phone calls and text messages. This type of bullying is called cyber bullying and is becoming increasingly common. Adult bullying can occur in the workplace using these methods as well as other written messages. Both children and adults will say mean things to try to embarrass or torment their victim online. Cyber bullying is particularly effective because bullies can reach a huge audience.

There are many places bullying can occur and being able to identify bullying is the best way to stop it. Just because problems are not occurring between children or at school, does not mean what is going on is not bullying. If a person is being unfairly targeted by another person relentlessly in the attempt to humiliate, belittle, hurt, or otherwise harm a person, chances are that it is bullying.

Where the Teacher is Mom

There is an army of teachers in this country and around the world that get no pay, do not show up at a classroom and get no recognition for the work they do. But they are doing the job of teaching young minds and getting them through a year of academic work. These are the minions of home school teachers who are quietly doing the job of education of the next generation. And we have learned from studies into home schooling, they are doing a pretty good job because home schooled students often rank high in college preparation exams.

If you are considering becoming a teacher in the limited scope of home schooling your own children, the task is not as intimidating as it seems. And the potential benefits to your children are great. Public schools are notorious for taking bright young minds and snuffing out that fire for learning that they were born with.

The reason this happens is simple. Public schools are mandated to teach a very large body of kids so because of the volume of kids they must pass through each grade, the emphasis much be on discipline and order and the priority for high quality academics has to slide so that every child can get through.

That is why the focused and specialized environment of a home school situation is perfect for a bright mind such as your child has because you can customize your curriculum to fit your child and to accelerate as fast as they show an aptitude to go. You don't have to put a big emphasis on being in their seat when the bell rings and being in school uniform down to their underwear. There are no bells in home school and they can come to school in their underwear if they want to. As long as they learn, that is the emphasis in a home school environment.

When you set out to becoming a home school teacher, you have a huge amount of flexibility in how you structure the learning environment. If you have a room you can set aside as the "classroom", that is a nice set up because you and your child know that when you go into that room, learning will happen here. But because the goal in that room is to complete one step along the way to finishing a curriculum, your young student knows that class will be over when they achieve their goals, not when the bell rings and that encourages productivity and focus.

It is also a myth that home schooling will become expensive. In fact, you can virtually set up a perfectly valid year long curriculum for very little cost. By logging into the public school's system, you can find the curriculum for the grade your child is in school and what must be learned to finish that grade. In many cases, local public schools and many private schools have programs to help you get started so that your child follows a similar educational path that is going on down the street in the public schools. This is an advantage to you and the school because should you decide to send your child back to public school the next year, they are not out of step with the program.

Materials can often be had for very little expense as well. Many times a textbook that is being used for a particular subject will come out with a new edition. When that happens, you can pick up copies of the previous edition, now out of date to the public schools, for very little cost and often for free. The topics in the text book are just as valid in the previous edition so you can conduct full year of classes using that textbook and not face any serious cost investment at all.

By looking for ways to take advantage of public facilities like the computers at the public library and of programs offered by churches, public schools and other institutions to help home school teachers like you be successful, you can set up a program at home that will help your child succeed as a student in this educational setting. It will be an adventure for you. And you will see a new appreciation come in to your child's eyes when he or she suddenly realizes that mom is still mom but she is also an outstanding teacher as well.

Where to find time for Homework

As your children get older, or if you are returning to school, you might find that there is not enough time in the day to complete homework. I’ve just started back to school after an eight year gap, and I have experienced the stress in realizing that there are not enough hours in the day. I have five children and a full-time job. Here are some secrets I have found.

If you have younger children, find a place they can go play while you get some reading done. Our local mall has a play area with cushioned seats for the parents to watch. My boys like to go play there and it is entertaining for them. I can sit and watch them while I get some reading done for my science class. There are other places that you can take your children too, including the park. Just check around your neighborhood for ideas.

Take your homework with you wherever you go. You never know when you might have fifteen minutes at the doctor’s office to write down the answers to homework questions or read that last chapter.

Swap play times with a friend. Since I have to get homework done during the week for my class, I don’t have a lot of time during the week, but a lot more on the weekend. I have found that I can get a friend to take my kids for a few hours during the week and then take hers for her on the weekend. This gets her out of the house for a few hours, and gives me time I need during the week to complete my homework. Older children are a great help also. I’ve found that bribery works well too.

Where to Buy the Cheapest Auto Parts

Cheap and quick auto parts can be obtained almost anywhere, although it's just a matter of being able to know where they exist and how to find them. Furthermore, many people make a living off of buying cheap auto parts and selling them on auction websites on the internet, including eBay. It's time for you to tap into the industry of the cheap auto parts, though, and be able to have some of the same privileges as those who are already selling them! If you need to know where to get these sort of connections then here is your chance to take the information and run with it to the auto parts that you need and want.

The Best and Cheapest Exterior Auto Parts

One of the great places to go about getting cheap exterior auto parts is the junk yard. Even though the junk yard is absolutely not worth getting mechanical parts from, the exterior parts of an automobile are generally considered safe to be purchased. The main reason for this is that you automatically know what you're getting. Consider this: if you see a front bumper of a car with a dent on the right side, then you know that you'll be getting and buying a bumper with a dent on the right side. Furthermore, some of these auto parts flaws can easily be fixed if one knows enough about the auto parts that they're buying. All in all, though, junk yards are definitely some of the better places to get the cheapest and authentic exterior auto parts.

The Best and Cheapest Mechanical Auto Parts

Just as junk yards are the best places to get your hands on some of the cheapest exterior auto parts, there are also places that handle the cheapest mechanical and engine auto parts. Usually these can be purchased through wholesale lots of people who routinely sell auto parts, but this also means that you will have to purchase a lot at a time in order to get the part that you want for really cheap. Even so, it is definitely worth the price to get a whole bunch of engine or mechanical auto parts from a wholesale lot dealer just because you can also turn around and re-sell them for a major profit!

Where Auto Parts Should Not Be Purchased

There are plenty of places to get some of the cheapest auto parts, and two examples were listed above. There are also some places, though, that should absolutely not be contacted for any sort of auto part whatsoever. These places are car dealerships, and most of the time these places deal with strictly manufactured and warranted auto parts through the automobile company itself. This also means that they will be some of the most expensive, which is why they shouldn't be bought there.

If you are looking for cheap auto parts then all you have to do is follow the advice here in order to get your hands on some of the best, reliable, and cheap auto parts. Even though you may get your hands on a lemon every once in a great while, the fact of the matter is that cheap auto parts do exist for those who want to look for them!
